History
Georgian Publishers and Bookseller Association was established in 1996.
1997
First Tbilisi Book Fair was held with the financial support of Eurasia Foundation.
First catalog of Georgian Publishers (and printing-houses) was created, which was published with the support of Open Society Georgian Foundation (OSGF).
Association organized a seminar - "Copyright Protection in Sweden."
Association and the National Library established ISBN National Agency.
Association was presented at the France International Book Fair.
1998
First National Bibliography was published with the financial support of the National Library.
1999
The project entitled: "Improvement of Georgian Publishing Industry" was funded by Eurasia Foundation.
2000
Tbilisi Book Fair was held with the financial support of Eurasia Foundation.
Seminar "Publishers' Requirements" was organized by Open Society Institute Budapest (OSI-Budapest).
2001
Seminars "Copyright" and "Individual Education", was organized by Open Society Institute Budapest (OSI-Budapest)
Tbilisi Book Fairwas held with the financial support of OSGF.
Seminar "Marketing and Distribution in Book Sector", was held with the financial support of France annual Book Fair and Goethe Institute.
Seminar "Book Publishing" was organized by Open Society Institute Budapest (OSI-Budapest).

Seminar - "Code of Professional Ethics" was held withthe financial support of OSI- Budapest.
Tbilisi Book Fair was held with the financial support of Eurasia Foundation.
2003
Tbilisi Book Fair was held with the financial support of the broadcasting company Rustavi 2 and the political party New Rights.
2004
Tbilisi Book Fair was held with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
2005
Tbilisi Book Fair was held with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
The project: "Book Depository of Georgian Library" was improved and renewed.

Black Sea International Book Festival was held, within the framework of:
Seminars: "Improving Relations"; "Raising awareness: the way to a successful integration of international publishing process." The festival was supported by Eurasia Foundation, Open Society Georgia Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
Study: "The Book Demand in Georgia" was prepared and published with the financial support of Eurasia Foundation, Open Society Georgia and the Ministry of Culture.
Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association became a member of International Publishers Association (IPA).
