Georgian Book Market Study 2016-2022
Georgian book market research was prepared by ACT on the initiative of the Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association and the Writers’ House of Georgia. The main objective of the research aimed at collecting comprehensive statistical data on all components of the book market and their activities in 2016-2020. The report provides separate data for 2020 year to analyze the impact of the pandemic on the book sector.
The target groups of the research are publishers, distributors, book and e-book stores, libraries, and readers. The research uses a combination of different methodologies relying on the purpose and objectives, as well as the specifics of the sector: primary and secondary information, semi-structured, face-to-face, and in-depth interviews with readers, publishers, distributors, or bookstores.
